My opinion on Pre-workouts… They help me a lot because training intensity provides the foundation for transforming the body and sensitizes the receptors in the muscle and organs across all pathways allowing the chemistry to work better. The chemistry amplifies the effectiveness of the training and the training amplifies the effectiveness of the chemistry. The point of a pre-workout is to increase intensity, strength, focus, pump and nutrient delivery, mineral balance, and pain threshold. Rage Pre-Workout is a great pre-workout but if on a budget here are some really cheap approaches to Pre-workout supplementation:
BAKING SODA
5 grams pre or intra-workout helps neutralize muscle acidity and increase weightlifting endurance and pain threshold.
I started studying Baking Soda as a performance-enhancing drug about 23 years ago when people told me I was crazy. Now the science proves its effectiveness. Studies have athletes take up to 25 grams pre-workout but that gives me explosive anal discharge.
I know 5 grams could be considered too low a dose but we have to balance comfort on this. 5 grams feels good and I get no discomfort. It can make me feel dehydrated if I don’t drink a lot of water with it.
Albuterol Inhaler
My Albuterol inhaler is one of my favorite pre-workouts and I stack it with Rage Pre-Workout oftentimes.
Albuterol aka Salbutamol is used for asthma. It allows me to get so much more oxygen and wakes me up keeping me motivated and alert.
Electrolytes
Athletes are usually deficient in Magnesium all the time, deficient in Sodium during training, and deficient in potassium some of the time. Our genetics, diet, and lifestyle determine how likely and often we are deficient.
Remember were talking about the matrix and addressing limiting factors. For some people, a lack of minerals is a major limiting factor and for others, it’s not. It’s cheap to supplement these things.
I use Sea Salt pre-workout, use salt substitutes that have high potassium on my food in addition to sea salt, and take magnesium pills.
The Blue Ox Test Booster has enough magnesium to help with testosterone production and prevent deficiency for many people but some people like me who have the genetic disadvantage of not retaining magnesium need much higher doses such as 3 tablets or capsules of magnesium twice per day in addition to Blue Ox.
Pre-workout a stimulant helps a lot. The problem is people take too much caffeine.
Caffeine does improve performance, focus, and strength to an extent but it also has withdrawals, addiction, desensitization, and creates a full-body stress response that can impair recovery. So, Caffeine is ok but there are so many more effective stimulants.
I still use caffeine because it amplifies the benefits of other stimulants but by itself or in high doses it’s not optimal.
Ephedrine was one of the best but it’s banned most places. I still get it in the USA behind the pharmacy counter. Enhanced ECA ShredXT was the closest we could get to making a legal ECA replacement. Its extremely powerful so I only use one capsule.
DMAA and DMHA are pre-workout chemicals that are much less available now but very effective in allowing me to push past a pain threshold and increase stamina. By itself, it sucks as a pre-workout but combined with other stimulants its amazing.
Carbs, sodium, and water give the raw ingredients for the body to get enough pump and blood flow. But increasing nitric oxide and vasodilation for superhuman pumps is best accomplished with Cialis (tadalafil), Viagra (sildenafil), and/or mega dosing beetroot.
I rarely use Beet Root because it tastes so bad I gag, but its the cheapest way to get the effect.
I prefer using Rage Pre-workout Non-Stim with 20mg Cialis per day. I do this for the blood flow, health and longevity benefits, sexual benefits, and lowering my blood pressure which becomes very very important when HGH, Insulin, or IGF are used.
There is a reason power-lifters use it before their biggest lifts. It gives a rush of adrenaline that massively increases focus and strength but only for the length of time of one set. So, I use it on my hardest sets and it is the best pre-workout I’ve used. I like it because the short active life allows my nervous system to relax after and prevent chronic over stimulation.
I feel its much healthier for my body to limit stimulants to shorter duration for when we want increased performance or fat loss and then allow the body and nervous system to rest. Smelling Salts are just Ammonia Crystals which is early cleared by the body the same as our own naturally produced ammonia that we discharge every time we exhale.
Lastly, None of this matters without diet which I could write a 400-page book on that no one wants to read.
Real food preferred over powders but powders can be a helpful addition.
Post workout the muscles can absorb more nutrients and calories.
Avoid eating high fat and high carbs in the same 1/3 of the day.
An optimal diet for the individual depends so much on genetics, training, and lifestyle. Its always going to require experimentation.
MOST THE DIET INFO YOU WILL FIND IS ALL TOO GENERAL. I KNOW THIS PART IS OFFENSIVE TO SOME BUT ITS A GOOD EXAMPLE…
There are so many passionate carnivores and so many passionate vegans that will claim their diet is optimal.
The TRUTH is it depends on the genetics and people are ignoring this element.
There are Genetics and Epigenetics involved and although we can all agree that American processed foods are toxic to everyone, we can’t generalize many other components of the diet.We can however start our self-experimentation with the most likely optimal approach.
